The Green Talents jury of 2018 is composed of high-ranking German experts from academia and industry. On the basis of their scientific excellence and innovative research potentials, the jury will select the 25 Green Talents winners from numerous applicants.
This year’s Science Forum will take the winners to the beautiful eastern part of Germany. To visit hot spots of sustainability research and gain first-hand information about the country’s renowned research landscape, the tour will lead the Green Talents of 2018 to Dresden, Jena, the Thuringian Forest, Leipzig, Berlin and finally Frankfurt am Main.

Striving for international cooperation in sustainability research
The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) hosts the prestigious ”Green Talents – International Forum for High Potentials in Sustainable Development” to promote the international exchange of innovative green ideas. The award, under the patronage of Minister Anja Karliczek, honours young researchers each year. The winners come from numerous countries and scientific disciplines and are recognised for their outstanding achievements in making our societies more sustainable. Selected by a jury of German experts the award winners are granted unique access to the country’s research elite.
