Senior Finance Officer – Goma, North Kivu

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) – Democratic Republic of Congo is recruiting a Senior Finance Officer to support its conservation programs in Eastern DRC.

🌍 Position Overview

The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for the financial management, accounting, budgeting, reporting, and compliance of WWF projects in the region. The role ensures strong financial control, donor compliance, and effective use of resources in line with WWF policies.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial operations (accounting, cash, bank transactions)
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures
• Prepare financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Ensure compliance with WWF and donor financial regulations
• Strengthen internal controls and support audit processes
• Contribute to forecasting and financial planning
• Support capacity building of finance and program teams

🎓 Required Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in finance/accounting (NGO experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Excel and accounting systems (ERP preferred)
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and compliance awareness
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
