About Us

 

RedR Australia is a leading international humanitarian response agency that selects, trains and deploys technical specialists throughout the disaster cycle around the world. We are a member of the UN Standby Partnership (UNSBP) and have deployment agreements with 15 United Nations agencies or entities, as well as with other front line relief agencies and local governments.

 

During a humanitarian crisis, we provide additional support to response efforts through deployments of technical specialists. We maintain a humanitarian roster of more than 1000 technical experts across a range of skill areas.

 

About the Opportunity

 

Under the supervision of the country office and standby partner, humanitarian experts on the RedR roster who are successful in securing deployment opportunities, will work proactively to better prepare for, monitor, coordinate and respond to natural hazards and disasters, and to ensure effective information management and communication with key stakeholders, in a humanitarian setting.

 

We are keen to hear from you if you have a minimum of 5 years technical experience in the following profiles:

 

Health Logistics

Public Health

Information Management Officer – sub national health cluster coordinator

Civil Military Coordination

Humanitarian Affairs Officer

CASH

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Minimum 5 years of technical experience

Provide technical advice, mentoring and capacity support on strategies and policies, including streamlining plans, policies, and guidelines

Experience in assisting and supporting the further development of current procedures and harmonizing procedures

Ability to advise and support the strengthening of engagement with government agencies, NGOs, development partners, private sector and communities

Proven track record of providing advice and guidance on cross-cutting issues such as protection, gender equality, disability inclusion and environment in your chosen field

Exposure to conducting courses and training programmes aimed at strengthening and building capacity, skills and competences in country in your chosen field

UN agency experience is mandatory
